Robin Williams’s children celebrate his posthumous 75th birthday

Two of Robin Williams’ three children, Zelda and Zachary, publicly celebrated his posthumous 75th birthday on Tuesday.

‘Happy 75th womb evacuation anniversary Poppo!’ Zelda, 36, wrote via Instagram story.

‘Not sure what 75 would’ve looked like on you. Probably the same loud socks and cool jackets. Maybe some more crazy glᴀsses as your eyesight got worse. Grayer, but no less hairy.

She went on: ‘Wish we could talk about the world and joke about my haunted pups. Bet your laugh would be the same. You are loved beyond measure and missed daily. Happy 75th Poppo.’

Along with her heartfelt tribute, Zelda posted a snapsH๏τ holding a pH๏τo-booth strip of herself and her late father laughing and making silly faces together.

Williams welcomed Zelda and his 34-year-old son Cody during his 18-year marriage to ex-wife Marsha Garces Williams. The couple divorced in 2008.

Zelda’s last major gig was voicing the Chaos Terran character Spitfire in six episodes of Paramount+ animated series Transformers: EarthSpark in 2024.

Meanwhile, Zachary posted a snap of the Chicago-born comic as his alien character on the ABC sitcom Mork & Mindy, which aired 1978–1982.

‘Happy 75th Dad!’ the 43-year-old wrote on Instagram. ‘Today I’m remembering your weirdness and your extraordinary capacity to love.’

‘I remember those wrinkles in the corners of your eyes – the kind you get from a lifetime of smiling. I remember your unending need to see this world free of human and animal suffering,’ Zachary said.

‘For those out there who’d like to celebrate with me, go do something kind for someone. Make someone laugh. Put a little more good into the world. Love you forever.’

Zachary and his wife Olivia June were inspired by Williams to co-found Prepare Your Mind, which are ‘neuroscientist-formulated amino acid supplements for stress-resilience.’

Williams welcomed his lookalike son during his decade-long marriage to first wife Valerie Velardi, which ended in 1988.

August 11 will mark the 12th anniversary of Williams’ suicide, at age 63, after suffering from severe depression and symptoms related to undiagnosed Lewy body dementia.

The Juilliard School dropout had been incorrectly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease three months before his death inside his Paradise Cay, California home.

Williams’ battle with the ᴅᴇᴀᴅly neurodegenerative disorder is depicted in Vertical Entertainment’s 2020 documentary Robin’s Wish and HBO’s 2018 documentary Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind.

The Comic Relief icon, whose ashes were scattered over San Francisco Bay, was only a Tony away from elite EGOT status.

Williams is best remembered for his endearing roles in ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Poets Society (1989), Hook (1991), Aladdin (1992), Mrs Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1995), The Birdcage (1996), Good Will Hunting (1997) and the Night at the Museum series (2006–2014).
